This full-day
program is located at the Adult Learning Center at 141
Western Avenue. The program is designed for seventh- and eighth-grade students
who would benefit from a smaller learning community with opportunities
for individualized academic and behavioral interventions. The curriculum
includes all required middle-school courses as well as Academic
Intervention Services (AIS). The program also utilizes
Apex Learning, a
comprehensive, standards-based online program that helps engage students
in rigorous coursework and prepare them for high-school graduation and
beyond.
The goal of this
program is to return students to the regular school setting in the
following school year prepared for success.
The program enrolls a maximum of 30
students in three classes at any one time.
