Where do I vote?

Voting for the 2011-12 school budget will be Tuesday, May 17 at locations city-wide. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Polling sites for the budget vote are different from the polling locations used for general elections. Also, there are two changes in voting locations this year as well as two locations that have remained the same but had name changes:

• 4th Ward, Election Districts 6-11

  • Old location -- Capital Woods, 200 Lark Drive

  • New location -- Arbor Hill Elementary School, 1 Arbor Drive

• 5th Ward, Election Districts 1-12

  • Old location -- Philip Livingston Magnet Academy, 315 Northern Blvd.

  • New location -- Albany Public Library Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch, 148 Henry Johnson Blvd.

• 8th Ward, Election Districts 4-8 and 10

  • The former St. Catherine of Siena School is now Mater Christi School. The location is the same, 35 Hurst Ave.

• 12th Ward, Election Districts 1-3, 5 and 11

  • The former Harriet Gibbons High School is now the district's Central Registration Office. The location is the same, 75 Watervliet Ave.
