Falcons fly high with four records at
Cohoes Relays
Kareem Morris and
Dashawn Gates combined with four Albany High School track teammates to
break four meet records and two school marks at the Cohoes Relays on
Saturday, April 24.
Morris and Gates
teamed with Kyle Thompson to set meet and school records in the 3 x
110-meter high hurdles. The Falcons finished in 45.3 seconds, shattering
the previous mark of 48.6 seconds set by Lansinburgh in 2005.
In the 4 x 100, Jaah-Mel
Arrington and Derek Joseph teamed with Morris and Gates to set a meet
record in 43.4 seconds, topping the 44.6 Albany Academy turned in last
year. The same foursome also set meet and school records in the 4 x 200
with a time of 1 minute, 30.2 seconds. Bethlehem set the previous record
of 1:33.5 last year.
In the 4 x 400,
Morris, Gates, Joseph and Matthew Wu set a meet record of 3:27.7,
topping the 3:29.6 Fonda-Fultonville recorded in 2006. |
