Fleet Falcons fly high at state, national track meets
Congratulations to
Albany High School indoor track teammates Chris Fagan and Kewsi
Burgess, who turned in strong performances at state and national indoor
championships in March.
Chris, a three-event winner at the Big 10
championships Jan. 26, finished seventh in the long jump at the National
Indoor Track Championship Meet on March 14 in New York City. His jump of
22 feet, 4.5 inches also set a new record for Albany High!
At the New York State Indoor Track Championships
at Cornell University on March 8, Chris
also finished seventh in the long jump and
competed in the 300-meter dash. Kewsi was a member of the Section II
relay team that took first place at the state meet.
