Annual Founders Day celebration planned for March 23
ALBANY,
N.Y. (January 20, 2012) --
Mark your calendars for Friday, March 23 and plan
to join us at the beautiful,
historic State Room in Albany for the annual Founders Day
celebration!
Founders Day is organized by the Albany City Council PTA to honor and
celebrate individuals who have made a positive difference in the lives
of the children and young people of Albany.
This year’s event will be from 6-10 p.m. and will include performances by City School District of
Albany students, an art show, a silent auction a 50/50 raffle and much
more.
Tickets to attend this event will be available soon through each
school's parent-teacher organization
(PTA/PTSA/MCC). Sponsorship opportunities for the event also are
available:

Platinum ($1,000) – Provides acknowledgement the
night of the event, your logo on the back of the program and signage
at the event

Gold ($500) – Provides acknowledgement in the
program and signage at the event

Silver ($250) – Provides acknowledgement in the
program and signage at the event

Bronze ($100) – Provides acknowledgement in the
program and signage at the event

Supporter ($50) – Provides acknowledgement in the
program
-
Family ($25) – Provides acknowledgement in the
program
All Founders Day proceeds benefit the ACCPTA Scholarship program.

The mission of the City School District of
Albany is to educate and nurture all students to be
responsible citizens, critical thinkers and lifelong learners to
successfully compete in the global community by providing an
academically rigorous and safe environment in partnership with parents,
students and the community. The district serves about 8,700
students in 15
elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood
schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as
well as other innovative academic opportunities for students,
including four themed academies at Albany High
School.
