About Schuyler Achievement Academy
Opened in 2004, Schuyler Achievement Academy was one of the first projects completed in the City School District of Albany’s sweeping plan to rebuild or renovate all its elementary and middle schools. This modern, award-winning facility is a blend of the school most recently known as Opportunity School 21 and a new structure added to enlarge the school.

The school's "full-service" model allows it to take care of children’s academic needs as well as provide a range of health and wellness services. These services include mobile dental health services through our partnership with St. Peter's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House, and school-based health services through our partnership with Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Services, in addition to mental health and other wellness services.

Absence from school
If your child is absent from school for any reason, contact the school nurse at 475-6700, ext. 8 during the morning and provide a written excuse when your child returns to school.
